Cheesy Primula Scones

Ingredients

  • 200g/8oz self raising flour
  • 5g/1 level teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tubes of Primula Original or Cheese & Chive 25ml milk
  • Beaten egg or milk to glaze
  • Vegetable oil/butter to grease baking sheet

Method

  1. Pre-heat an oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas mark 6
  2. In a food processor or bowl put the flour, baking powder, tubes of Primula & milk
  3. Mix together on slow or with a wooden spoon until it forms a soft dough
  4. Roll out on a floured surface until it is around 1 inch/2.5cm thick
  5. Cut out rounds with medium sized cutter
  6. Place at least 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet
  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg or milk
  8. Place in the oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown
  9. Remove from the oven & carefully put to cool on a cooling rack

Serving suggestions: For a real treat why not make a small hole in the side of the scone and pipe in a small amount of Primula straight from the tube or just serve warmed with a knob of butter on.
