Meatball Gratin with Cheese Sauce

Ingredients

  • 250g sausage meat
  • Plain flour to dust
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 cherry tomatoes halved
  • 150g tube Primula Cheese
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 25g grated cheese

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200oC / Gas 6
  2. Shape the sausage meat into small balls and dust with flour.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick frying pan and fry the meatballs for 4 to 5 minutes to brown. Add the cherry tomatoes and fry for another 2 minutes.
  4. Heat one tube of Primula Cheese and 3 tbsp milk in a saucepan, stir until the sauce is smooth and warmed through. Remove from the heat.
  5. Transfer the meatballs and the tomatoes to an ovenproof dish. Pour over the sauce and sprinkle with the grated cheese.
  6. Bake in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until brown and bubbling.
  7. Remove from the oven and serve.
