Tasty Cheesy Pork Burgers

Ingredients

  • 450g/1lb Pork mince
  • 2 tubes Primula Chive cheese spread
  • 1 medium onion finely diced
  • Large pinch of cracked or ground black pepper
  • Flour to roll & shape

Method

  1. Place mince, Primula , diced onion & pepper in a large bowl & mix well
  2. Scoop a quarter of the mince mix into flour dusted hands and place on a well floured surface
  3. Sprinkle flour over the top of mince mix to help prevent sticking, mould into a ball with palms of hands then place onto a greased baking sheet
  4. Pat down ball until it is flattened to no more than 1inch in height & resembles a burger shape, repeat with remaining mix
  5. Chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes before cooking
  6. If cooking on a BBQ or medium heated grill place gently onto wire, turning only when base is slightly browning (ideally cook in a sausage/fish wire).
  7. If oven baking pre-heat to 200°C/400°F/Gas mark 6 for 25-30 minutes ensuring juices run clear & burger is piping hot throughout

Serving suggestions: Serve in a crusty bread roll layered with lettuce & tomato slices, for an extra treat why not add a dollop of Primula Original for a really cheesy feast!
